Sinopsis
La banda de los Sharks, inmigrantes puertorriqueños, y la de los Jets, de origen irlandés, viven en un continuo enfrentamiento. El drama se desencadena cuando María, hermana del jefe de la pandilla puertorriqueña, y Tony, un ex miembro de los Jets, se enamoran.
